CRYSALIS

DOCUMENTARY - TRUE CRIME

When Iain Edwards went to bed on the evening of August 1st, 1989, he had everything a man could want: a loving wife of 21 years, three wonderful daughters under the age of 12, a big, beautiful home and a successful orthodontics practice in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. His wife Marguerite commented as they went to sleep together that night, “our life is too perfect.”

Less than twenty-four hours later, that perfect life was over. When Marguerite didn't pick up their daughters up from school, Iain returned home to discover his wife brutally murdered, her body dumped in the walk-in wardrobe of their bedroom. Iain’s dream life was suddenly a nightmare. With no leads in the case, his family shattered and under suspicion in his community of murdering his beloved wife, Iain felt as though he’d lost everything.

Yet somehow, at his absolute lowest, Iain began a search for meaning that would transform his life and give him the strength to go on. This is his heartbreaking, but remarkable true story of tragedy and transformation.
